Organiser Agreement
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This agreement applies when you list and sell tickets for an event through TickTap. By listing an event you agree to these terms, which sit alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Our roles
You are the event organiser, responsible for the event itself. TickTap acts as your limited agent to sell tickets and collect payment on your behalf, and is the seller of record to the buyer. We are not the event promoter and are not responsible for running the event.
2. Listing your event
- You must provide accurate, complete event details: name, venue, date and time, ticket types and prices, and capacity.
- You confirm you have the legal right to sell tickets for the event and to use any images or names in your listing.
- You must not list events that are illegal, unsafe, or that breach any third party's rights.
3. Pricing and our fee
- You set the face value of each ticket.
- TickTap adds a booking fee that the buyer pays on top. The rate is 10% for one ticket, dropping to 8%, 6% and 5% as order size grows, with a minimum of 2% + 30p per order.
- You keep the full face value of every ticket sold, less any refunds and chargebacks.
4. Payments and payouts
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You may be asked to complete Stripe onboarding to receive payouts.
- We pay your net takings (face value of tickets sold, minus refunds and chargebacks) to your nominated account after the event, typically within 5–7 business days.
- We may withhold payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, excessive chargebacks, or a breach of this agreement.
5. Capacity and oversell
You are responsible for the capacity figure you set. TickTap stops sales when your stated capacity is reached. You must honour every valid ticket sold through us.
6. Refunds and cancellations
- If you cancel or materially change the event, you authorise us to refund affected buyers in line with our Refund Policy, and you remain liable for those refunded face values.
- You will tell us promptly of any cancellation, reschedule or material change.
7. Your responsibilities at the event
- Admit all holders of valid, unscanned tickets.
- Comply with licensing, safety, accessibility and consumer-protection obligations for your event.
- Handle attendee issues at the venue, including entry disputes and safety.
8. Liability
You are responsible for the event and for claims arising from it, and you agree to indemnify TickTap against claims resulting from your event or your breach of this agreement. TickTap's liability to you is limited to the fees we earned on the relevant event, except for liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove a listing, or end this agreement, if you breach it, if we're required to by law, or to protect buyers. You may stop listing with us at any time; obligations relating to tickets already sold continue until those events have taken place and been settled.
10. Changes
We may update this agreement. We'll tell you about material changes, and continuing to list events means you accept the update.
This is a starter template for a demo and is not legal advice. The seller-of-record and payout arrangements have real tax, regulatory and liability implications; have this reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it.
